Submission Guidelines
Onlywomen Press is proud to publish feminist fiction and non-fiction.
We publish books consistent with a feminist perpective and give priority to lesbian authors.
Please note that we want to read your hard-copy, and thus do not accept electronic submission of manuscripts. We are not accepting poetry at present.
Prose writers should send only the first 60 pages of novels or of non-fiction. Proposals may be two to four pages in length. Manuscripts should be typed, double spaced, on one side of standard weight paper with margins of at least one inch on all four sides. Pages should be numbered, preferably in the top right hand corner, with author's name and the title of the work.
When submitting work, please add a covering letter to
- explain what's enclosed, including a brief synopsis
- describe the audience you feel it addresses
- tell us your previous publications and your personal history
- supply your return address.
Manuscripts must be sent with a self-addressed envelope and sufficient postage for its return (UK stamps or International Reply Coupons). Our mailing address is:

We will read your submission as quickly as possible, but please note that it can take six months to hear our decision.
